Many of our events over the past several years were very popular, and many people requested they be continued. So the Committee decided to continue to sponsor these events.

Below is a list of the currently scheduled events. Click on any listed event for more details.

If you have an idea for another event you would like to see held, please feel free to email the Committee with your idea. Alternatively, please feel free to attend one of our meetings to present your idea.

150th History Book Reading - Part 2

Details:
The Hulmeville 150th Committee (HB150) and Hulmeville Historical Society (HHS) are sponsoring a Hulmeville History Night.

Joe Coleman, who authored the book,Hulmeville - A History at 150, will present images and information from the book. This night will be part 2, covering the time period from 1850 to the present. Note, you did not have to attend part 1 to enjoy this presentation.

Come and enjoy a snack or beverage. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. The night will include Show & Tell from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Bring any Hulmeville history items you have at home, photos, documents, artifacts, etc., and share with the rest of the attendees.

The history presentation, along with questions and answers, will begin at 7:30 p.m. Following the presentation will be Hulmeville History Bingo. Test your knowledge and win prices!

Copies of the history book and 150th Anniversary cookbook will be available for sale.
Family Fun Day & National Night Out

The field behind the borough hall, 321 Main Street

1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Cost:
There is no charge for the event. Food, drinks, and ice cream will be available for a small charge.

Ghost Tours
When:
Oct 6, 7, 13, 14, 2023
Where:
Start from the borough hall, 321 Main Street
Time:
7 p.m., 8 p.m., and 9 p.m.
Cost:
The 7 and 9 p.m. tours are $20/person. The 8 p.m. tour is $10/person.
Details:
Watch a short film then follow a lantern led walking tour through downtown historic Hulmeville exploring over 151 years of haunted history!

5K - Run While You Can

Start from the Neshaminy Shore Picnic Park, 13 Beaver Street
Time:
9 a.m.
Details:
Come alone or bring your canine friend for a 1 mile walk or 5K run around town. The walk/run will begin and end at the Neshaminy Shore Picnic Club, 13 Beaver Street, Hulmeville.

Halloween House Decorating Contest Results

On Thursday, October 12, teams of judges toured the decorated and haunted houses in the borough and judged the best decorated ones.

Houses were judged in 4 categories: Scariest, Most colorful, Most natural, and Child's Choice.

Awards were given to first place in each category. In addition, the Mayor's Choice award was given to the house with the highest score across all categories.
