Cat's Meow
The latest Cat’s Meow is a special commemorative piece honoring our Borough’s 150th anniversary and it’s now available for purchase! You’ll want to be sure get this piece to add to your collection. Even if you don’t have a Hulmeville Cat’s Meow collection, this is one that you are going to want! There are still other Cat’s Meow pieces available for purchase. Raffle Basket Donations
Throughout the year at various events the Historical Society features Raffle Baskets. We appreciate the donations that several people have made in the past to this effort to raise funds for the Society. This year we are looking for more members of the Society and community to make such donations throughout the year. Any kinds of items can be accepted for men, ladies and children. Contact Marce at 215-629-6201 to donate.
Help needed
The Hulmeville Historical Society is always in need of adults and youth (including those who need to do Community Service projects for school) to volunteer to help with our many events throughout the year. Here are some examples of things you can do to help.
- Set-up, serve, or clean-up at the Soup Off;
- Welcome folks attending the Meet & Greet;
- Hide eggs for the Community Easter Egg Hunt.
Feel free to contact the Historical Society (stop by at any of our events and chat) for more ideas.

Membership Info
The Historical Society is always looking for people with an interest in their town and helping with the Society by serving on any of our committees or even the Board of Directors.
Membership in the Historical Society is open to everyone.
The suggested membership donations are:
- $12 - Individual
- $24 - Family
- $50 - Business
- $1000 - Lifetime member
- $0 - Age 75 or older
You can pay at any of our regular monthly meetings or download our membership form and return it with your payment.

Information Update
The Historical Society is trying to update our mailing list. We know some Newsletters are addressed to the previous occupants at some addresses and we wish to correct that, matching current occupants with the correct address. Please help us to do this by calling President, Marce Heald, at 215-692-6201 and leaving a message with your name and address. We want to make sure all our Borough residents are getting our information!

Meetings
Our meetings are open to everyone. They are held the 2nd Wednesday of each month beginning at 7:30 pm. The meetings are usually held in the pavilion behind Borough Hall (321 Main Street) (warm weather) or inside the Borough hall (not so warm weather). Everyone is welcome, encouraged actually, to come out and hear about the interesting things the Society is doing.
Please note there is no meeting in July or December.

New HHS T-Shirts
Let’s show some hometown pride by wearing a hometown shirt! The new t-shirt design features the Hulmeville Historical Society logo on the front and artwork by Susan Buckman on the back. Susan grew up in Hulmeville and has graciously donated her artwork for our use. Shirts of all sizes are available for $15 and will be for sale at our events. You may also place an order by contacting Marce Heald at 215-629-6201.
2022 Hulmeville Sesquicentennial
On March 2, 1872, Hulmeville became an incorporated borough of Bucks County. The town was named after John Hulme who purchased the town in 1795 when it was known as Milford Mills.
Borough Council, along with the Historical Society, are planning numerous events and activities to celebrate the borough’s 150th anniversary. Please consider coming out to the sesquicentennial meetings (normally the 1st Wednesday of each month) if you have ideas or would like to contribute.

Virtual Cooking Classes
Two classes left - November 12, December 10
The 150th Anniversary Committee is hosting a series of 6 virtual cooking classes held between February and December. The cost is $35 per class and reservations are required. You can find the link to purchase tickets by visiting: hulmeville150.org and search for the virtual cooking class info under ‘Upcoming Events’. Cooking classes will be conducted virtually through Zoom. Each class will feature recipes (sometimes, but not always) from the Hulmeville Heritage Cookbook. Each participant will follow along with Chef Sue Duffy Arroyo, while preparing the food in your own kitchen. All classess start at 6:30 p.m. and last approximately 1-1/2 hours. Hulmeville 150th Cookbook
The Hulmeville Heritage Cookbook is finished and is available for sale. Cost is $15. They can be ordered by contacting Judy Coleman at jacoleman525@gmail.com. They will also be sold at future Hulmeville events.
Hulmeville Sesquicentennial Book
The Hulmeville 150th Anniversary History book is finished and available for sale. The cost is $45 for a hard cover book, $30 for a soft cover book. Please contact Joe Coleman at 267-261-2719 or email jcole105@verizon.net with any inquiries.
